ANZAC letter
11th April 1915
Dear Mother,
Hello,it is me,Rashmeen, I am writing to you to tell you that I am perfectly fine here in Gallipoli. Even though it is very hard to breath around here me and my fellow friends are coping well. I am missing you more than ever mother. I think of you all night and day, even in my dreams. I am sad to say that I have lost the wonderful picture of you that I had taken just before I left for war. When we came to Gallipoli we were expecting to hear ear-deafening sounds of bullets striking past us every second but since they don't know we are here we have to beas silent as we can be. We are camping right outside where they are practising to surprise them when it is time to fight by already being here. They are expecting us in about another 2 weeks! The general says that we will be back in 3 weeks. It is obvious that we will win.I hope that you and Father fine at home.
Yours Sincerely,
Rashmeen

dear mother,
I am in Gallopoli right now, I have been facing the enimies 5 days ago and tommorow is the last day. I am missing you so much and I miss my friendswho have passed away in the battle …..if the enimes didn't start shooting in the middle of the night my friends would've been alive and gone back to New Zealand with me. Right now I have my left leg injured of the bomb that was buried under the ground but that dosen't really matter. I hope I can go back soon with victorie!

Anzac Day Letter
Dear Mother,
I have safely reached the island of Gallopoli. I have met so many people who have similar
emotions as me. There is a pang of fear and guilt churning in my stomach like a blender, feel fearful because I don't know that after writing this letter I will even be alive, and I am feeling guilty be cause even thought I am fighting for my country I really don't want
to hurt a soul. This place is like a nightmare every morning when I wake up I hear blood-curling screams and the bang of a gun. But don't worry this son of yours will not let you down and I will fight like a lion .
Okay wish me luck...
Bye
Love Your Son

ANZAC letter
Dear mother,
When we heard about the ships sinking I realized that I am going to lose so much friends. It was really a bad Idea to come here ,but from the other side I came here to save our country. I am in Gallopili right now writing as neat as I can under the cold earth. I f I move or touch a thing piles and piles will be bucketing down. I hear the whistles of the bullets flying out side on the cold freezing sand, with lots and lots of injured or dying people crying for help. I see people or even children walking around the streets homeless. I miss you mother. I miss your warm and calming words. Your food it is a lot better then when I get fed here in this horrible war. It smells like gunpowder. Even some of my best mates have been injured or killed. I miss the beautiful times before the war had started and I really really miss my father that is in heaven now because and enemy blowed up our house but only we could escape. Say hi to all my brothers and keep them safe. When I found you a home and I gone to war it was a very sad moment .. but I will come back....

ANZAC Letter
I know you think I made a wrong decision but I know it's a good one.
I thank you for looking after me all those year's but I am grown up now and I made my choice.
The day before the war we arrived, the land was rocks and mud.
I hear these noises as if the war has began, I hear guns loading as I think they're about to shoot.
I have this fear inside of me that makes me scared because what if the people I love die, and what if I die or will I succeed.
One time some men were practicing they're shooting and I thought I was shot but luckily I was not shot or should I say injured.
I felt sad because my friends died, because when we were on the boat they fell off the boat at night and they froze to death in the dark, I tried to save then but they were to low.
We had water we had too carry from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain.
The enemy's we were going to face tomorrow are going lose, we hope that they lose by giving up, because we don't want to come back losing.
As I cut myself with a knife, I did a reaction I automaticly started to suck my blood I could smell it too.
Did you know a month ago some ships sank and 600 people died.
Sometimes when we have a run it's hard for me to breath, but I'm doing okay for now.
And these are my experience for now.
Your dear son Joseph
